Those were the days
03:04
|
|||
I miss the days when you were with me still driving around
And scribbling graffiti all over this town
Those were the days but they are gone now so let's gather 'round
Light a fire, drink a forty, let's get drunk and pass out
We'll reminisce about the old days and all of our doubts
And all the stupid drunken nights we said we'd burn this town
Down to the ground, with out a sound and no one around
To tell us something different other than what we had found
We knew the truth of our youth and we had the proof
In all the empty forty bottles drunken on the roof
Figuring out who we were when life was a blur
But we made it and we figured out just what we preferred
Those were the days
I miss the days when you were with me still hanging around
Sitting there bored as fuck in our small ass fucking town
Those were the days but they are gone now so let's gather 'round
Light a fire, drink a forty, let's get drunk and pass out
We'll reminisce about the old days when we used to used
All of those stupid saying which we knew nothing about
We didn't care it wasn't fair and so we declared
To live our lives just having fun and it didn't matter where
We knew the truth of our youth and we had the proof
In all the empty forty bottles drunken on the roof
Figuring out who we were when life was a blur
But we made it and we figured out just what we preferred
Those were the days

Red Bikes
01:45
|
|||
I hadn't seen you in a while
You were walking into class
I left a note on your bicycle
Just hoping to hear back
But after a few days
I realized my mistake
There's too many red bicycles
And I'll never catch a break
And I wish I had your number but I lost it long ago
Probably when I broke my old one and I got a new phone
But Hopefully I'll see you in passing on the street
We can start to catch up and we'll go out for a drink
But there's too many red bicycles on this stupid bike rack
And I don't know where to leave my note in order to get it back
I hadn't seen you in a while
You were walking into class
I left a note on your bicycle
Just hoping to hear back
But after a few days
I realized my mistake
There's too many red bicycles
And I'll never catch a break
How are you doing?
How have you been?
So what's new lately?
Remember when?
Typical questions
A dry response
Unique stories
Our needs and wants
But that won't happen
Or in translation
There's too many red bicycles to ever have that conversation
I hadn't seen you in a while
You were walking into class
I left a note on your bicycle
Just hoping to hear back
But after a few days
I realized my mistake
There's too many red bicycles
And I'll never catch a break

Lady
01:42
|
|||
Where is the real lady liberty because something don't feel right to me
It's such a fucking mystery why didn't they take the first one?
The first statue of liberty was black
I would like to get that version back
Because I don't identify with all those racist pieces of shit
Who decided that the first one wasn't right
And now that fucking statue is just a lie
The whiteness that they glorify
All the freedom and hope
Well, it's just a fucking joke
Just white people afraid to lose power
And so, Mr. Laboulaye, I wonder what did you say
When they told you your statue was too black?
Did you want to fight back?
Or did you just roll over and accept their demands?
The first statue was designed for the liberation of slaves
The symbology of freedom is the message that they gave
But we rejected with hatred this surely is not right
Her skin is much too dark, yes, this woman should be white

Two nights ago you called me a brother
I called you one right back
But that's really only just because
Brothers treat each other like crap
And last night you got in trouble
You called me on my phone
I told you that I couldn't help right now
I told you your on your own
Because I'm too far away to help right now
Too far away to help
Too far away to help right now
Too far away to help
I'm on the corner of who gives a shit? and I don't care
You fucked me over so I guess we're square
Who give's a shit? Yeah I don't care
You're on your own so be aware
And then maybe in the end you'll realize that brothers can't be friends.
Tonight You called me a brother
I laughed right in your face
Because you fucked me over too many times
Now I just need some space
Don't ever call me your brother
I'm not your family
I don't think you've realized what you've done
And how it's affected me
So tonight when you get in trouble
Don't call me on my phone
Because I'll tell you that I can't help right now
Tonight you're on your own
Because I'm too far away to help right now
Too far away to help
Too far away to help right now
Too far away to help
I'm on the corner of who gives a shit? and I don't care
You fucked me over so I guess we're square
Who give's a shit? Yeah I don't care
You're on your own so be aware
And then maybe in the end you'll realize that brothers can't be friends.

S.S. Relation
03:28
|
|||
I am in a relationship, but that ship is sinking
And we're going to drown if we don't leave
At least, that's what I'm thinking
So you take your lifeboat and I'll take mine
And we'll drift apart and that'll be fine
But maybe someday we'll drift together again
Oh yes, maybe someday we'll sail together again
Because I'll keep sailing 'til the end of time
Telling stories and drinking wine
And I'd love someday to sail together again
But we've been taking on water for too damn long
And I can't plug up the holes
The sails are ripped and I can't reach the helm
Yes, we've lost all control
I think it's time we abandon ship
Because if we don't we'll probably slip
Right off the deck and down into the sea
But, I hope someday you can rejoin me
Because I'll keep sailing 'til the end of time
Telling stories and drinking wine
And I'd love someday to sail together again

Another beer another bowl and then I'm probably headed home
Because I've got so many things to do tomorrow
Another game I guess I'll play but you know I cannot stay
Even though, once I'm alone I'm filled with sorrow
And then we'll smoke another spliff and I will wonder if
I really need to go to work tomorrow
Another beer another bowl now I'm too drunk to drive home
We should really stop hanging out on Fridays
But I don't regret it at all let's get drunk 'til we crawl
And forget about all of their warnings
I won't regret it all let's get drunk 'til we crawl
And forget about Saturday mornings
Another beer another bowl because I've given up control
And I'd rather sleep on your floor anyway
Write a song smoke a bong
I dod not plan on staying long
But I would take this good company any day
We are so bored let's watch TV
I guess it's cool with me
We were running out of things to do and say
Another beer another bowl yes I'm too drunk to drive home
We should really stop hanging out on Fridays
But I don't regret it at all let's get drunk 'til we crawl
And forget about all of their warnings
I won't regret it all let's get drunk 'til we crawl
And forget about Saturday mornings

Four Times Today
03:36
|
|||
I should probably be writing a paper right now
But I'd rather watch the snow falling down out my window
Oh yes, I'd even rather drown
And so I'll go smoke another cigarette and wait for cancer
But it probably won't come before my paper's due
And so I'll write down a couple of ideas
But then I'll give up tear them up and walk away
Because quitting is so much easier, I'm so good at it
I've already quit smoking at least four times today
I should probably really quit one day
I can hardly breathe and my lungs are filled with tar
But all of my friends are cig smokers and the rest of them are tokers
So what to do? I guess I'll smoke with you
Even though I should really right this paper
But I guess I'll do it later, oh yes, I quit
Because quitting is so much easier, I'm so good at it
I've already quit smoking at least four times today

02:25
|

We've got pills for when you're hungry
We've got pills for when you're sad
We've got pills for when you stub your toe
And you get really mad
We've got pills for when you're tired
We've got pills for when you're stressed
We've got pills for almost anything
Even when you're depressed
We've got pills that make you skinny
We've got pills to make you crap
We've got pills that regulate blood sugar
After you've gotten fat
We've got pills that make you smarter
We've got pills that make you cry
We've got pills that make you wonder
We've got pills that make you high
These pills do fix problems but they give you side effects
But don't worry there are other pills which will surely correct
The problems that were cause by the first couple of pills
And now you've got more problems but we'll fix them, yes we will
We've got pills that make you obey
We've got pills that make you laugh
We've got pills for the common cold
Even when you've got staff
We've got pills that give you hormones
We've got pills for the insane
We've got pills for almost anything
Even if you're in pain
We've got pills that make you stronger
We've got pills just for sex
We have got MDMA
I think they call it ex
We've got pills that make you focus
We've got pills if you're a dance
We've got pills for almost anything
Unless you have cancer...............................................

Practice Song
04:08
|
|||
Enter sleep awakening to the fact that I'm alive
It's similar to when we birth and right before we die
It's completely fine because this shard of time
Is damn precious though it's borrowed it is treasured so it's mine
I will slip along the way on down this path to which will end up at a grave
Whatever lies ahead will remain hidden love lessons learned
We walk the razors edge life's a close shave
So take it all on give it what you've got
I know you may feel worthless weak with no purpose
But the fact you're alive really says a lot
We all slip up every now and again
Go through habits and hobbies lose family and friends
Just remember life is practice and go and give it your best shot
Four o'clock insomnia thinking of things I want to change
With haunting distant memories I think I am deranged
So I claw through the darkness I claw through my soul
Finding demons in the depths and they've lost all control
And I have have tripped along the way
This life is fucking crazy I don't know what else to say
But I will push through decay cuz this life is just a close shave
So take it all on give it what you've got
I know you may feel worthless weak with no purpose
But the fact you're alive really says a lot
We all slip up every now and again
Go through habits and hobbies lose family and friends
Just remember life is practice and go and give it your best shot
Dream with both eyes open or at least 'til I'm awake
To see the non-existent dangers that put my life at stake
I refuse to see the only danger's me
Not to myself but other people that's why I love my company
We slip up and we still succeed
We do things to help out others and even out of greed
It's along this path that we all ride
Doesn't matter what's in the middle
In the end we all die
Whether or not we sit and watch the show we're off to leave
So take it all on give it what you've got
I know you may feel worthless weak with no purpose
But the fact you're alive really says a lot
We all slip up every now and again
Go through habits and hobbies lose family and friends
Just remember life is practice and go and give it your best shot
Why do we take this life so god damn serious?
Making mountains out of molehills I think we're delirious
Because we trap ourselves inside all of these false realities
But if you open your eyes then you will start to see
That this life is what you make of it
And it really doesn't matter once you start to admit
That you can do anything, so why not dance around and sing?
And take it all on give it what you've got
I know you may feel worthless weak with no purpose
But the fact you're alive really says a lot
We all slip up every now and again
Go through habits and hobbies lose family and friends
Just remember life is practice and go and give it your best shot
